The 100 players with the most XP

XP comes from playing for stakes, in every game — and from how far you go in a tournament. The bigger the stake the more it pays, and winning pays five times what losing does.

This month’s XP. Resets in 27d 23h.

How XP works

Four things worth knowing.

01

Free games count for nothing

Practice games are free, and free means they earn nothing. Nothing you play against a bot moves this board.

02

In a match, the stake sets the XP

Win and you earn 10 XP for every USDC you staked. A draw earns 3 and a loss earns 2. So the bigger the match, the more it is worth either way.

03

Very short games pay nothing

A match that ends in only a few moves earns nobody any XP, win, lose or draw. It stops two friends agreeing quick draws to climb.

04

Tournaments pay for how far you go

The games inside a tournament are not staked, so they earn nothing by themselves. The tournament pays instead: 100 XP for reaching the knockouts, 50 for each group game you win and 150 for each knockout round. Third place adds 200, reaching the final adds 300, and winning it adds 600 more.

XP and skill are two different things

The board is ranked on XP, which rewards turning up and playing. Skill sits beside it and says how strong you are at one game. A patient player can climb this board without being the strongest in the room.
