What we hold, and what we don’t

We hold your wallet address, your email if you give one, your play records and money ledger, the sender address of your deposits, short-lived rate-limit counters that are deleted after a day, and, while you are signed in, a last-seen time that powers the online player count, also deleted after a day, and how long our server took to process each of your moves, deleted after 30 days.

If you choose to add a display name or an X handle in Profile, we hold those too. When you finish in the top three of a tournament, we show your display name, an X handle if you added one, and a shortened form of your wallet address beside your result. They appear on the tournament’s page, in the past tournaments list and on the image shown when the tournament is shared. We do not check that an X handle belongs to you. Anyone can report a handle as not belonging to the player shown, and we may remove it. You can remove your display name or handle in Profile at any time; copies others have already made, such as screenshots, are outside our control.

For the announcements we email to players, our email delivery tells us whether each email was delivered, bounced or marked as spam, and which of its links you clicked. We record that, but not your IP address or device, and it is deleted after 90 days.

We do not keep IP logs linked to your account, we use no third-party trackers or analytics on our site, and we sell nothing to anyone.

Who else touches it

A small number of service providers process data strictly on our instructions — our database host, our wallet-infrastructure provider, our email delivery — and for no purpose of their own.

How long, and how to ask

Money records are kept as the lasting record of what you are owed. Newsletter consent and opt-outs are kept as evidence of your choice.
