Rivals
Tick the games you will play and we pair you with somebody online at your division's stake. Win and you climb, lose and you slide, and the season resets every month.
Your position and the queue
Everybody starts in Division 10
No placement games and no rating to earn first. Your first Rivals game is 5 USDC, and ten stages later you are in Division 9. Each division above has one fixed stake, so you always know what a game costs before you queue.

Ten stages to a division. Stages 1 and 5 are checkpoints that absorb three losses each per season.
Checking the queue…
Play a night on the ladder
Press a result and watch what it does. Streaks, checkpoints, promotion and relegation all behave exactly as they will when it is your own position. This is a demonstration starting from Division 10, stage 1.

Nothing here touches your account and no money moves.
Your movement log
Every move on the ladder is written down with the reason for it, so the answer to "why did I drop" is always on record. This is the shape of that log.

Reach Division 9 in this run and the promotion bonus of 25 XP is paid once, the first time you get there.
The ladder
One fixed stake per division. Player counts are this season's real numbers.
Pairings across two divisions play at the lower of the two stakes, and each player's ladder moves at their own position. Pot is both stakes together, the winner takes it less a tenth, and a draw refunds both sides in full.
How it works, in full
Every rule that moves you, costs you or resets you, in the order you will meet them.
Stages 1 and 5 each absorb three losses a season instead of dropping you. The counter is on your card above, and once it is empty that checkpoint is broken until the season resets.
You never name a figure. Division 10 is 5 USDC and Division 1 is 150, and the stake follows your position. The pot is both stakes, we take a tenth of it on a result, and a draw gives both players everything back.
Win at the top of Division 1 and you reach Elite, the top of the ladder, and collect its 1000 XP bonus once that season. Elite plays at 500 USDC a game with no stages and no relegation: results are recorded, your place is held, and only the new season moves you. Everybody restarts two divisions below where they finished, so Elite is earned again every month. If the queue pairs you with a Division 1 player, the game is played at the lower of the two stakes.
Nothing is taken while you wait. The moment two tickets are matched both stakes are debited and the board opens. If either debit fails the pairing is cancelled and the other player is refunded and put back at the front.
Your balance sits with the platform between games, the same as everywhere else on Dream Games, and a stake is held there while a game runs. Payouts land back in that balance and you withdraw when you want.
Open lobby games and private invites never move the ladder, at any stake. If we did not choose the pairing, it is not a Rivals result.
Players online, players waiting, players per division. If the answer is nobody, the page says nobody. We never pad a count to make the room look busier than it is.
XP for reaching a division
Paid once per division per season, the first time you get there. Match XP for the games themselves is unchanged and lands as usual.
XP is a score, not money. It ranks you on the leaderboard and breaks ties in tournaments.
Seasons and the reset
A season is a calendar month. When one ends, everybody moves back two divisions from where they finished and starts again at stage 1.
Nobody ever restarts below Division 10. Checkpoints come back full, streaks and counters clear, and every promotion bonus can be earned again in the new season.
Every count on this page is the real one.
